Knotts Yard Vets Covid-19 Update - December 2021
Due to the Government's new restrictions this month because of the Omicron Variant, we as a practice are taking further measures to protect our clients and our staff and will still be monitoring the number of people that are allowed into the practice.
We are continuing to ask clients to wear face masks when attending appointments (unless exempt) and to call on arrival in the carpark where you will be given instructions on what to do.
DO NOT ENTER the practice unless a member of the team has asked you to do so.
We would be grateful if only one member of your family accompanies your pet into the practice. Please use the hand sanitiser before entering and stay seated until you are called to see the vet/nurse.
Clients that are exempt from wearing face coverings can enter the reception area if attending an appointment but will not be able to enter the consulting rooms due to social distancing and us not able to ventilate the rooms. This measure is to keep our vets safe so we would appreciate your co-operation in maintaining their safety.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you are worried and we will find the safest way to proceed within current Government legislation. Please order medication online where possible - we are trying to keep phone lines free for more urgent need.
If you are collecting medication, please call us from the car park and wait outside where a member of the team will bring out your pets’ medication.
Our phone lines are extremely busy so please be patient.
To help us stay safe if you are self-isolating or infected with Covid you must let us know, and we will take appropriate protective measure to ensure your pet gets the care they may require.
Thank you again for your understanding of this rapidly evolving unprecedented situation. These guidelines are continually being reviewed by our governing bodies and no doubt further updates will follow.
Knotts Yard Vets Team
We are delighted to announce that from Monday 1st June we will be operating a full veterinary service within the ‘new normal’ this means that we will now be able to offer:
This is in line with our governing bodies RCVS & BVA. However, we must maintain safe social distancing. The safety of our staff and clients remains paramount therefore procedures will still need to be risk assessed by our reception team at the time of booking and the doors to our practice will remain closed to all clients.
Please be patient whilst we try and catch up with all the appointments over the next few weeks.
Arriving at the practice
Please inform reception that you have arrived by mobile telephone call if possible and wait outside in the car park or in your vehicle. We are working with social distancing in place, to protect yourselves and our staff. We ask you to bring your puppies either in a cat carrier if they are small enough or with a collar and lead so that we can maintain some distance. The vet will come to collect your pet for the appointment. To help us stay safe if you are self-isolating or infected with Covid-19 you must let us know, and we will take appropriate protective measure to ensure your pet gets the care they may require.
Thank you again for your understanding of this rapidly evolving unprecedented situation. These guidelines are continually being reviewed by our governing bodies and no doubt further updates will follow in the next few weeks.
